The first lesson for the parent-child in the new semester, I was touched again by my talented students. I designed a fruit(pomegranate）themed sketch experience for children who are aged from 3-4.5, In this class, I just encouraged them to use the line to describe what they observed from the still life and use the red watercolor pen to beautify the pomegranate seeds.

Many parents may confuse that why the child needs to start the sketch experience and only use the ink pen from a young age, and they think it would be very difficult for the innocent child. Even though pre-school children could not hold the pen powerfully due to the undeveloped muscles of their hands, their concentrated creation process and final artworks shacked the parents and me who realized the potential of the little child.

Hsieh Ho, the famous Chinese esthetician who compiled the book ‘Six Principles, ‘rhythmic vitality’ as the first principle of the book emphasizes the importance of artistic atmosphere among the artworks, and the rhythm of lines plays a big role in highlighting the uniqueness of the artwork.
Lines, seemingly simple elements of expression, can convey the creator's personality and unique feelings of beauty.
